Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to expedite critical patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding wait times and care plans
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support emergency preparedness drills and mass casualty response
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
