Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine appropriate care urgency
- Provide clinical guidance to patients and families regarding medical concerns
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Manage emergency department workflow and patient prioritization
- Educate patients on healthcare resources and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
