Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI) within 5 minutes of arrival
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize care for high-acuity patients
- Oversee patient flow in fast-paced emergency department with 50+ daily visits
- Document assessments in Epic EMR system with 99% accuracy
- Train new staff on triage procedures and emergency protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (RN license required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with 5+ years ED experience)
- Expertise in ESI triage scale implementation
- Strong decision-making under pressure with proven critical thinking skills
