Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls via phone and determine acuity level using standardized protocols
- Coordinate emergency responses and communicate effectively with ER physicians
- Document triage encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide patient education on home care and follow-up instructions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license with BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- Proficiency in triage protocols (e.g., ESI scale)
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- BSN degree or higher (ADN candidates with experience considered)
