Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and telemedicine using standardized protocols
- Prioritize cases based on acuity and allocate appropriate resources
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to determine care pathways
- Document encounters in Epic EHR systems with 100% accuracy
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Participate in quarterly disaster response simulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to complete paid triage certification program
