Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency department arrivals based on clinical urgency
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments including vital signs, history-taking, and physical examinations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and care coordination
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions for non-emergency cases
- Maintain compliance with TAC and JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ED or urgent care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Exceptional triage assessment skills and critical thinking
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
- Strong communication and de-escalation abilities
