Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and processing of samples
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care during specimen collection
- Assist with inventory management of lab supplies
- Collaborate with medical staff and laboratory personnel
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient in EHR documentation systems
- Valid Hawaii driver's license preferred
