Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Perform rapid initial assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and manage department resources efficiently
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (AZRN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environment
