Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients via phone or telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Recognize critical conditions and initiate emergency response protocols
- Support patient education on self-care and preventive measures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (required)
- Minimum 2 years of ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (maintained current)
- Proficient in EHR systems and triage protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
