Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize cases in emergency settings
- Perform telephone triage and provide clinical guidance to patients
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases promptly
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
