Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history via telehealth, phone, and in-person consultations
- Prioritize patient cases using standardized triage protocols and EHR systems
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments for seamless care transitions
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
- Train and mentor new staff on triage protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license with at least 3 years clinical experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN accepted with relevant certifications
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in emergency department or urgent care triage settings
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems and telehealth platforms
- Strong emotional intelligence when managing high-stress situations
