Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide expert telehealth consultations and triage advice to patients via phone/video
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate seamless patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with precise documentation of assessments
- Delicate patient education on treatment plans and home care instructions
- Oversee clinical workflows during peak hours to ensure efficient patient throughput
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience implementing triage protocols (ESI, CTAS)
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred (MSN for leadership roles)
