Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging with precision
- Oversee sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance for clinical areas
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants on best practices
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinical efficiency
- Implement infection control standards and maintain equipment calibration
- Assist in digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft systems
- Prepare specialized materials for cosmetic dentistry procedures
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or state dental assisting license
- Minimum 3 years of chairside experience in cosmetic/general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays, CBCT) and CAD/CAM workflows
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Proven ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
- Knowledge of Arizona dental board regulations
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team coordination
