Responsibilities
- Assess patients via phone and in-person using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient acuity levels and expedite appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians to develop emergency care plans
- Document patient encounters with precision in EMR systems
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients/families
- Maintain inventory of triage supplies and equipment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for ER processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- BSN degree or higher preferred
