Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using clinical judgment and triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide education to patients and families regarding emergency procedures
- Manage high-pressure situations with calm professionalism during critical incidents
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Alaska state healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills in diverse cultural settings
- Ability to handle high-stress environments with emotional resilience
