Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize incoming ER cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed patient assessments
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up care plans
- Train junior staff on triage protocols and emergency procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during all patient communications
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (AZ RN)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingual preferred
