Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to OSHA standards
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate sterilization protocols for infection control compliance
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification (DANB/CDA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current Texas Radiology License and BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
