Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI, CTAS)
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care based on medical urgency
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear communication to patients/families during high-stress situations
- Oversee patient flow and coordinate with ancillary departments
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license with 2+ years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Expertise in rapid assessment and decision-making
- Strong emotional intelligence and crisis communication skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
