Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and priority of care
- Provide accurate medical advice and triage guidance via phone and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases to appropriate medical personnel
- Educate patients on healthcare resources and treatment protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active California RN license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience with ER/urgent care focus
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid assessment protocols and critical decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
