Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for rapid patient disposition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for department efficiency
- Oversee initial patient stabilization procedures including wound care and medication administration
- Maintain inventory of triage supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license with at least 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- BSN degree or higher strongly preferred
- Experience with trauma triage protocols
