Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient calls using established triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Provide accurate medical advice over the phone while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters meticulously in electronic health records
- Manage patient flow and communicate wait times effectively
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Provide education to patients regarding home care and when to seek emergency care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of emergency or urgent care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
