Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient calls using standardized protocols and clinical judgment
- Provide accurate medical triage and urgent care guidance via phone, telehealth, and in-person
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on symptoms, home care, and when to seek emergency care
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing based on acuity levels
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado (CO)
- Minimum 3 years emergency or urgent care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with telehealth triage protocols
