Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop patient treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
