Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure timely interventions
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide telehealth triage services for remote patients during off-hours
- Maintain inventory of triage supplies and equipment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proven ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong assessment skills with experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
