Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound sterile/non-sterile preparations
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription inventory with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives and patient care plans
- Utilizes pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for efficient operations
- Assists with vaccination administration and health screenings
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license or certification in progress
- Minimum 6 months pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Proficient with pharmacy technology and inventory management systems
- Basic math skills for accurate compounding and dispensing
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
