Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop accurate triage plans and disposition strategies
- Document patient encounters in Epic EMR with precision and timeliness
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding wait times and care progression
- Maintain compliance with TJC and CMS emergency department standards
- Oversee patient flow coordination to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in trauma code activations and rapid response interventions
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Strong assessment skills for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Exceptional communication abilities during high-pressure situations
- Experience with Epic EMR and emergency department information systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- BSN degree preferred
