Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using established triage protocols
- Communicate critical information to physicians and healthcare team members
- Provide telehealth and in-person consultations to determine urgency of care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and bed assignments in the emergency department
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with social services and care coordinators for complex cases
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (TNCC preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN degree or higher preferred
