Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using clinical judgment protocols
- Provide telephonic and in-person triage for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek emergency care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital triage standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems preferred
- BSN degree preferred
