Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using triage protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone and telehealth consultations
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Coordinate care transitions between emergency and specialty departments
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic test results
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
