Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and ensure all surgical supplies are properly sterilized and available
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and equipment handling
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
