Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions via phone triage and determine appropriate level of care urgency
- Provide accurate medical advice and instructions to patients over the phone
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Triage emergency department patients according to ESI protocols
- Handle high call volumes during peak times while maintaining service excellence
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or critical care experience
- TAS or ESI triage certification preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
