Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for critical patient prioritization
- Document patient encounters in Epic EHR systems with 100% accuracy
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain compliance with TJC and HIPAA regulations
- Mentor new staff on triage best practices
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- Minimum 3 years emergency room experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid patient assessment and decision-making
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments
