Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on acuity level
- Provide telephone triage for patients and families seeking medical advice
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow within the emergency department
- Educate patients on self-care and follow-up protocols
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
