  • Make clinical decisions regarding patient disposition, including advising self-care, scheduling appointments, or activating emergency services.
  • Coordinate care instructions with providers and specialty departments to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Document all patient interactions and clinical findings accurately and promptly within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide patient education and health coaching to promote self-management and wellness.

Qualifications

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Alaska.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, with specific experience in triage or urgent care preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Triage Nurse Certification (e.g., CPHON) is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Epic or Cerner.
