Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and online symptom assessments to determine appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and current medications to recommend urgent care, emergency room, or home treatment.
- Provide specific medical advice and instructions regarding medications, diet, and follow-up appointments.
- Document all triage interactions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure seamless patient handoffs.
- Identify and escalate high-risk patients to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting or direct patient care.
- Previous experience in triage nursing, call center nursing, or telehealth is highly preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficient in navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
