Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions accurately and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document assessments and interventions using electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear communication to patients and families about treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Alaska RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic)
