Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients of all ages using clinical judgment and established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate patient care levels
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide clear patient education on self-care and when to seek further medical attention
- Manage high-volume call center operations while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with EHR systems and telehealth triage platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly preferred
