Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and virtual triage assessments to determine patient acuity and appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate symptoms, manage pain, and provide evidence-based medical advice within the scope of nursing practice.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to facilitate seamless care transitions.
- Escalate complex or critical cases to on-call providers immediately to ensure patient safety.
- Provide health education, resources, and referrals to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in triage, telehealth, or urgent care settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
