Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index)
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including vitals, history, and symptom analysis
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Provide critical patient education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain high throughput while ensuring quality care standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (or enrolled in BSN program)
- Strong assessment and triage skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
