Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Accurately triage patients based on acuity and medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize care and allocate resources
- Document clinical findings and patient histories in EMR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients/families about wait times and care plans
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 3 years ED or urgent care experience
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
