Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and electronic health record triage to assess patient symptoms and medical history.
- Evaluate patient concerns to determine urgency and recommend appropriate level of care or home remedies.
- Document all interactions accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations using our provided EMR systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage patient queues and prioritize incoming calls based on acuity levels.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and accurate health education to patients and families.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and case review meetings.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care or triage experience preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
