Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage using clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to determine appropriate care levels
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Provide patient education on symptoms, medications, and care pathways
- Oversee patient flow and department resource allocation
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- 3+ years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Critical thinking skills for complex case prioritization
