Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patient calls and symptoms to determine the urgency of care.
- Coordinate patient flow to the appropriate department or physician.
- Provide accurate medical advice and health education to patients.
- Document patient interactions and triage data into electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage patient queues and prioritize emergency situations effectively.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting or triage.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
