Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to prioritize urgent cases and determine appropriate care pathways
- Provide expert clinical guidance via phone, telehealth, and digital platforms
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for seamless patient transitions
- Document accurate medical histories, symptoms, and intervention protocols in EMR systems
- Delicate patient education on home care, medication management, and red-flag symptoms
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive health information
- Participate in continuous training for emerging triage protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR or similar healthcare IT platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in fast-paced settings
- Flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- BSN degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred
