Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine priority of care
- Provide clinical guidance and education to patients regarding symptoms and treatment options
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Manage patient flow and optimize department efficiency
- Respond to emergency calls and critical situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
