Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone, video, or secure messaging platforms to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Apply clinical protocols and nursing judgment to triage patient concerns, provide medical advice, and facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Document patient interactions accurately, concisely, and in real-time within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, care coordinators, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines, company policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain best practices in telehealth.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care, emergency room, or triage experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Proficient in using computer systems, EMR/EHR software, and secure communication platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make critical decisions quickly.
