Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Provide expert guidance on appropriate care levels and emergency protocols
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians and clinical teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document detailed patient encounters with precision in our EMR system
- Delicate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Texas
- Minimum 2 years emergency or triage nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in English/Spanish preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical scenarios
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional travel between facilities
