Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop patient care plans
- Document all interactions accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients regarding symptoms and next steps
- Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on acuity levels
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
