Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and secure messaging to determine urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Provide expert medical advice, triage recommendations, and referrals to appropriate medical providers.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high-volume call queues efficiently while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Follow up on patient outcomes and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing education programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care or emergency room setting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgment.
