Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop immediate treatment plans
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members during stressful situations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Monitor patient flow and communicate bed availability to department staff
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress environments
- BSN degree preferred
